Preparing your files: Helpful Hints

  • Ensure resolution of images are at 300dpi at 100% size used
  • Check page size and bleed (2mm minimum)
  • Create your pdf with crops, bleed and fonts embedded
  • When designing graphics with high ink coverage we recommend using the Coated stocks for best quality finish, alternatively we suggest a laminate protective coating.
  • To ensure your finished product looks professional, allow minumum 2mm of image past trim line.
  • When designing a folded document avoid solid colours printing through folded area to avoid cracking of stock. Always trim and fold your design to produce a finished size mockup, ensuring fold lines do not distract from your message.
  • Consider page creep when designing booklets of high page count.
  • UniPrint recommends scoring laminated covers over 200gsm to ensure quality finish. Consider possibility of slight movement and colour variation when designing two page spreads.
  • When designing documents to be bound ensure text is kept clear of binding margin.
  • Ensure facing page numbers are on the right hand side and reverse page numbers are on the left.
